A rapacious person is a greedy person always wanting more money and goods than they really need. A rapacious person is never satisfied with the goods and possessions they have, but want more and more. A rapacious money lender always looks to earn more and more money.

  • The landlords of the past were rapacious. Their thirst for wealth was never ending, and this led to their causing a lot of trouble to the laborers who worked for them.
  • The way the tiger killed the deer and ate mouthfuls of the whole flesh showed how rapacious the tiger was. Even after this it was looking for another prey.
