regal (adj) of a king or a queen, suggestive of grandeur.

Regal splendor is the splendor or grandeur expected of a ruler, be it a king or a queen. Regal attire is the grand robes a ruler wears, or is expected to wear. Regal way of living is the impressive way a king or a queen lives.

  • On the occasion of his coronation the prince was seated on the throne in a regal manner. His robes, the crown and everything about him indicated the grandeur that is expected of a king.
  • The regal attire in which the king was clothed must have been very costly, for it was decked with rare gems. Only a king could be capable of wearing such things.
