remediable (adj) (of problems) able to be solved or, (of diseases) cured.
A remediable problem can be solved. If the damage done to something can be set right, it is remediable. If a bad situation can be improved, the situation is remediable. If a disease can be cured, it is remediable. A patient suffering from a remediable disease has the hope of recovery from the disease.
- The relations between the wife and the husband are strained but not to the extent of their getting divorced. The situation is remediable as there is still hope of their being together with a little understanding on either side.
- The mother felt relieved when the doctor looked at the reports and said that her child's disease was remediable. He said that with proper treatment it could certainly recover.
