When you replenish something, you fill it up again to replace what has been used up. You replenish a glass if you fill it up again, after it has been partly or fully emptied. Food and water supplies are replenished if they are supplied again to fill in the amount of food and water used up.
- Jim was in the mood to treat his guests lavishly. As soon as they emptied their cups, he replenished them with wine. He didn't allow the cups to be empty.
