Sherbet in the US is a food, made from a mixture of water, milk, fruit and sugar. It is usually eaten at the end of a meal. In Britain it is a powder, tasting of fruit, and eaten as a sweet.

  • The dinner ended with a sherbet instead of an ice cream, and the guests felt happy because a sherbet is lighter than an ice cream.
  • Sherbet is the last thing he likes, because it contains fatty substances like milk and sugar. He doesn't like ice creams either. He is afraid that they add to his weight.
