thrall (noun) slave; a person totally under somebody's control or influence.

A thrall is a slave to somebody. They are under their master's power and must obey the master. A thrall is a person who is completely under somebody's power or influence.

  • Julius Caesar the great Roman conqueror made all the prisoners of war the thralls to the Roman Empire. They were slaves for lifetime.
  • Her looks held him in thrall. When she looked at him, he found her so beautiful that he became a slave to her looks, and was totally under the power of her attractive face.
