A turncoat is a person who has no permanent loyalty to any one party or one group. They change parties according to their convenience and for selfish reasons without any principles or convictions.

  • No one expected that he would change his party overnight. He received a huge amount of money and the promise of a position from the other party and he changed over immediately.
