An ultimatum is the last warning to a person or a country, after which there will only be action. There will be no more warnings. If after an ultimatum, those who receive it do not respond, force will be used or action will be taken against them.
- The government gave an ultimatum to the terrorists hiding in the mosque to surrender in twelve hours. This was its final warning, and if the terrorists did not surrender within the time, the government will resort to action against them.
