unanimity (noun) complete agreement about something of a group of people.
If a group of people completely agrees on something there is unanimity among them. They are all the same opinion. If there is unanimity among a group of people about the election of a person as their leader, they all agree to elect the person as their leader.
- There was unanimity in the parliament about the election of the speaker. All the members agreed to have the same person as the speaker.
- The lack of unanimity among the board of directors about the starting of a new venture is causing uncertainty. As there is no agreement among the directors about starting the project, there is uncertainty.
