An unassuming person is a modest person. They are not proud or showy. A person who is unassuming person does not want others to notice his greatness, status or abilities. They want to remain unnoticed and they do not wish to make others know their importance or power.

  • In spite of his great achievements, Newton was unassuming. He never wanted his abilities, intellect and greatness as a scientist to be praised by others.
  • Really great people are humble and unassuming. They are never conscious of greatness, and they do not want their abilities and skills to be talked about by others.
