People sing in unison, different musical instruments in an orchestra if their combination produces a uniform and harmonious musical sound, without any one sound appearing to be out of tune with the rest. Unison is uniformity of sound produced by a number of voices or a number of voices singing the same song.
- The orchestra played in unison. All the instruments in the orchestra produced sound of the same pitch and there was perfect agreement in their combination.
