An unwieldy thing is big, heavy, and difficult to carry or use. A heavy motorbike is unwieldy for a boy of ten to twelve years because it is too big and too heavy and so difficult for the young boy to handle. An unwieldy system, or organization is unwieldy because it is difficult to manage it because it is very complicated and there are too many things to take care of.
