A valid permit is a legally accepted permit and is still in force. A valid ticket for a journey is a proper ticket. A valid argument is a sound argument, that is, a correct argument.

  • The court rejected the lawyer’s argument as not valid. It ruled that his argument was not correct and unacceptable.
