Valor is great courage especially the courage that soldiers and warriors show in war. Awards for valor are the awards given to soldiers and military officers for showing exceptional courage in war. Deeds of valor are actions that show the great courage the doer of the action has.

  • He was awarded the medal for valor but unfortunately he was not alive to receive the medal for his great courage in the battlefield. He was given the award posthumously. His widow received it.
  • Emperor Alexander the great had no equal in valor. At a very young age he showed extraordinary courage which no others had.
