When you vent your feelings, you express your feelings of anger, hatred, etc., in a violent manner. Your violent and harmful actions sometimes express your anger, hatred, bitterness, etc.

  • He was angry with his wife and he vented it by breaking the chair nearby. Breaking the chair was his way of expressing his anger.
  • The teacher angry with the Principal vented his anger on the class. He expressed his anger by being harsh with his students that day.
