Vigor is the quality of being energetic, enthusiastic and determined to do something. You do a thing with vigor if you do it with enthusiasm, energy and determination. Some old people, in spite of their age, work with vigor; that is, they work with energy, and enthusiasm.

  • Though the mountain was very steep, he was climbing it with vigor. He gathered all his energy, and enthusiasm and climbing up with determination.
