Arkansas State University is a destination university located in Jonesboro, AR, with a national profile of excellence in higher education combining outstanding student instruction with world-class faculty. Focusing on our mission statement of educating leaders, enhancing intellectual growth and enriching lives, Arkansas State offers programs at the doctoral, specialists, masters, bachelors and associates degree levels. Classes also are offered through the Honors College and the independent Department of Military Science. A-State also offers the Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC), which is composed of three separate residential buildings and an Honors classroom that creates a distinct sense of identity for Honors students, while signifying A-States continued commitment to quality education. The HLLC lets Honors students thrive in a residential environment designed with their educational pursuits in mind. The Red Wolves compete in NCAA Division I with BCS football, the top level, with 16 intercollegiate sports, seven mens sports and nine womens intercollegiate sports. Mens sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, and both indoor and outdoor track. Womens sports include basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, and volleyball.
