Kuyper Athletics Complex is one of the top collegiate facilities in the region, and approximately half of all undergraduates participate in Centrals nationally competitive NCAA Division III program. Whether students are interested in competing in a sport or landing the lead role in a theater production, at Central there are many options to get involved.Academic coursework integrates real-world experience. Students are encouraged to pursue service learning and internships, and 76 percent of Central students complete internships before graduation. Internships are available as part of programs in Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C., as well as hundreds of sites nearby and on Central's study abroad programs. Students have interned with a wide range of companies and organizations, including Kennedy Space Center, RehabWorks, the White House, Meredith Corp., the Detroit Lions, Mayo Clinic, Pioneer Labs and many more. Central also encourages students to develop a global perspective. A longtime leader in study abroad, Central operates programs around the world. Summer programs are also an option at a variety of sites. By the time they graduate, 57 percent of Central students have had an international experience. The connections formed at Central last a lifetime.
