Lees-McRae College

Lees-McRae is a four-year residential institution with diverse baccalaureate degrees, strong athletic programs and outstanding faculty. Bachelor's degree-completion opportunities are also offered online to nontraditional learners. All academic programs incorporate a broad core curriculum and field-specific career preparation and experiential learning with an emphasis in leadership. With faculty members known for nurturing mentor relationships with students, Lees-McRae strives to meet the needs of diverse learners of all academic abilities. The Honors Program challenges and engages highly motivated students in a supportive environment. The Burton Center for Student Success offers academic advising, tutoring, disability resources, a writing center, and other programs to help all students reach their highest potential. Lees-McRae is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina in the town of Banner Elk and has the highest elevation of any college or university campus east of the Rockies.
