MacMurray is a small Midwestern college with a liberal arts orientation. We emphasize writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills for all students. We have a long tradition of preparing students for service professions, including nursing, social work, criminal justice, and teaching, and have recently added majors in business analytics and marketing. The presence of the Illinois School for the Deaf is a major resource for our strong programs in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Education and American Sign Language Interpretation. We offer thirteen intercollegiate sports in NCAA Division III, women's wrestling, numerous clubs and organizations, and an active student government.
