Northeastern State University

Northeastern State University has a proud history of education dating back to 1846, with the founding of a National Male and National Female Seminary for public education for the Cherokees. NSU now has approximately 9,300 students. Located in the heart of the Cherokee Nation at Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the university also has branch campuses in Broken Arrow and Muskogee. Small classes and a close knit community of learners among faculty, staff and students sets NSU apart.
